Everything that is about to happen, happened – IMINENTE Urban Festival of Art and Music

It’s a rare thing, but everything that is about to happen in London, happened in Lisbon first.

It’s one of those projects, created by some of those minds that steps up our game in the internationally artistic scene.

IMINENTE Urban Festival of Art and Music, curated by Vhils and Underdogs, translates the creative multicultural atmosphere that is flourishing in Lisbon and is spreading throughout the world, leading the Lusophone matrix to establish dialogues with other cultures and artistic expressions.

3 days of expression and artistic provocation with a line-up that represents the cultural vanguard of those who are expanding their art in new directions; challenging, questioning, exploring.

We were there to celebrate its explosive, urban, vital, ephemeral, and unexpected nature.

So unexpected that the hugely praisable Fat Boy Slim, a surprise act kept secretly from the announced line-up of the festival, suddenly appeared on a high floor of the portentous abandoned building while playing the unmistakable piano chords from “Praise you“.

Watching the reactions of the crowd was priceless – they were still trying to figure out the figure while already going hysterical to the first chords, understanding that something special was… well, “about to happen”!

So, what to expect in London?

Only that… Brits, be bloody ready. We’re coming.

LONDON @ OLD TRUMAN BREWERY – 19, 20, 21 OCTOBER – tickets here
