Nova Batida is one more proof that the ‘New Berlin’ tag is gradually being replaced by the ‘Lisbon is the New Lisbon’ tag.
A cultural and arts hub, a music hub, a tech hub, Lisbon’s is the place to be and that’s the reason why Soundcrash, promoters of some of the finest London events plus creators of Soundwave in Croatia, Paradise Island in Thailand and Funk & Soul Weekender festivals chose our city to create something special: a festival that combines surf classes, beach parties, yoga classes, street artists, boat parties and a great line-up with names like Mount Kimbie or Little Dragon (check out their just released dreamy collab track ‘Tried’ with Canadian nu-jazz group Badbadnotgood… hawt!)
Bestivals teamed up with our most recent family member Alkmim and the coolest gang to hang out with at Nova Batida and the result was pretty wicked – check it out in the gallery below!
And if you couldn’t make it this year, here’s some more hot of the press for you: we were told that Nova Batida 2019 will be happening! The festival will be expanding to a three day event next year with more beach parties, warehouse spaces, courtyards plus the addition of one of Europe’s most epic sound systems and a bridge connecting the venues.
