Oh… WE’RE STILL ALIVE – Nos Alive 18

They say it’s the best line up ever, every year. And the truth is that is the truth.

But it’s not just the great bands that make Nos Alive the best transversal urban festival in Lisbon – surely, that is a big part of it, but not all. The festival, sold out a long time ago (which is kinda the new reality in Portugal – buy ahead or stay in bed!), puts together BIG bands life the QOTSA or Pearl Jam, brings revivals like the Eels and BRMC and brings new sounds like Sampha to the big main stage by the river.And there is the light behind this stage, as you’ll see from the pics, that it’s just magical… Would it be possible they’re booking the best sunsets along with the best line-up?

Then there is the people – if you’re from Lisbon, you know you can go on your own that you’ll never be alone – everyone’s there. That can be bad of course, but it’s always so packed, that it’s easy to sneak away… Ha. As from our side (which you’ll see from the pics too) we only found the mood to be reallyy GOOD!

And last but not least, there’s always something really magical and remarkable happening in every edition. I’ve heard of marriages, lost souls finding the love of their lives, babies being born, babies being made, meeting Alex Turner in an after party, hangin’ out with Imagine Drangons, watching the Kills gig backstage with Radiohead… Well, you can see why it’s more than a ritual to go to NOS Alive, we won’t miss it for the world.
